Earthy and elemental, this vase draws on the quiet journey of oxidised metal, evoking the passage of time and the beauty of imperfection. The rust-toned surface is an intentional nod to transience, echoing the natural weathering of materials exposed to the elements.

Each piece is meticulously handcrafted in a small studio in the Surrey Hills using a blend of ancient and modern techniques and materials. No two pieces are the same, every piece is unique and natural markings, flecks, tiny pinholes and the occasional surface variation are all part of its story, celebrating the process of craft and the beauty of imperfection, in the spirit of Wabi Sabi. 

Made from a formulation of lime, powdered stone, fine sand, mineral hardening compounds and natural oxides. Finished with blended metallic composites. 

While this item is coated with non-toxic, food safe and water resistant sealants it is sold as a decorative item, suitable for non foods, and is not guaranteed to be waterproof or water resistant.
